Confessions...

...is an audio-visual project by composer Nico Muhly, singer-songwriter Teitur and the Dutch ensemble Holland Baroque Society. In 2008 they worked together at the Cross-linx festival and composed music for YouTube-clips. Even the comments were used as an inspiration for the lyrics. Now it is time for the next Confessions in November 2009!


Nico and Teitur compose music to movies, which the public has sent in. Check POSTED VIDEOS! The world première is on Wednesday 25th of November 2009 in Eindhoven and after that they will tour six venues in The Netherlands.

Nico Muhly, only 28, has written arrangements for o.a. Björk, Antony & the Johnsons, Grizzly Bear and made the soundtrack for the film 'The Reader'. Singer-songwriter Teitur is from the Faeroe Islands and has toured with Radiohead, Ane Brun and John Mayer. He is one of today's most outstanding singer-songwriters. The young ensemble Holland Baroque Society represent a new openminded generation of Baroque ensembles.

• Special guest Jozef van Wissem will do the support, check this lute player extraordinaire.
  In Enschede the support will be the Haags Saxofoonkwartet.
• The Fontys Applied Science students who designed special features for Confessions, have also reached New York with their Confessions ‘Biechtput’.
• Youtube clips Confessions: Nico and Teitur have chosen four of the posted clips. They will make a new soundtrack for: I Like Small Spaces + I Love The Smell Of My Printer In The Morning + Time To Dry//Liesbeth Bouwman + When small secrets become big!
  They also choose six new clips from youtube and the four clips from the first Confessions series will be played.
• New location concert in Utrecht: Saturday the 28th November the concert will be in Vredenburg - Leeuwenbergh. The beautiful old church Leeuwenbergh in the centre of Utrecht will be the location for Confessions. More info...
